Cleaning ceiling fan blades is essential to prevent dust buildup and maintain air quality. Start by turning off the fan and placing a drop cloth or newspaper underneath to catch falling dust. Use a microfiber cloth or an old pillowcase to wipe each blade, trapping dirt inside. For stubborn grime, mix equal parts vinegar and water in a spray bottle, lightly spritz the blades, and wipe them clean with a damp cloth. Avoid excessive moisture to prevent damage. A vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment can also remove dust efficiently. For greasy buildup, especially in kitchens, use a mild dish soap solution. Once clean, dry the blades thoroughly and apply a dust-repelling spray to minimize future accumulation. Regular cleaning every few weeks keeps your ceiling fan in top condition and ensures cleaner indoor air.
